The Promenade des Anglais

Iconic to Nice, the Promenade des Anglais stretches for over six kilometers along the seafront. Despite the tragic attack of July 14, 2016, it remains a pleasant walk that has not lost its charm.

You will find a unique and lively atmosphere, a symbol of the joy of living that characterizes the city of Nice. Bring a swimsuit—it’s hard to resist the call of the beach.

The Old Town

The Vieux-Nice is a lively district with narrow streets, colorful buildings, and unique scents from its flower market on the Cours Saleya, giving it an unparalleled charm.

You will find artisan shops, cafés, and baroque churches such as the Sainte-Réparate Cathedral. In the evening, this district transforms into a vibrant area with many bars and restaurants.

Activities not to miss in Nice

Water activities

Being a city by the Mediterranean Sea and crossed by the Var River, Nice offers many water activities. Nothing is more enjoyable in summer than heading out to enjoy the sea, the wind, and the waves, or being rocked by the natural beauty of the Verdon Gorges and its impressive cliffs.

The Castle of Nice & Castle Hill

Although only ruins remain of the castle, Castle Hill offers a panoramic view of the city and the Baie des Anges. Located at the end of the Promenade des Anglais, it is an ideal spot to relax, in a park surrounded by greenery, allowing you to enjoy a breathtaking view of Nice.

Exploring the French Riviera

Antibes, Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Fréjus, Monaco, Monte-Carlo… These city names inspire dreams, and rightfully so—it’s the French Riviera. Let yourself be charmed by this unique part of the Mediterranean, with its mountain landscapes, fine sandy beaches, and medieval villages. All-inclusive excursions are often available on-site.

Saint Nicholas Cathedral

A Russian Orthodox place of worship from the era of Tsar Alexander II, recently restored, the richly decorated Saint Nicholas Cathedral will enchant you with its unique style, ornamental gold accents, and rounded architectural forms.

The Gardens of the Monastery of Cimiez

A little paradise hidden away from the city’s hustle and bustle, the Gardens of the Monastery of Cimiez offer a suspended walk above the city with a panoramic view of Nice and its bay. Sometimes hosting concerts, filled with blooming flowers and Mediterranean fruit trees, it’s the perfect place to soak up some vitamin D.
